Forget the credit crunch; Franke is pushing the design boundaries to create a hot new sink collection bursting with designer looks, without blowing the budget. The new Ascona range, introduced for 2009, consists of two stylish sinks, each available in a contemporary Satin Silk finish, which has a stylish muted lustre that’s fingerprint friendly and incredibly tactile.

The new Ascona collection comes with tap included and the choice of the Ascona ASX 611 single bowl model or the Ascona ASX 651 one-and-a-half bowl model – both of which share a stylish new profile, epitomised by a linear designed drainer that carefully controls water to ensure no spillages onto the worktop. Key to its water-containing success is a recessed drainer that ensures any water around the perimeter of the sink drains into the bowl, not over the edges.

Offering flexibility alongside affordability, the Ascona collection comes with a recommended tap – in this case Franke’s Zurich Chrome monobloc mixer – included in the price. If the Zurich Chrome doesn’t appeal, simply select a free tap upgrade from Franke’s comprehensive tap portfolio.

Optional extras include a choice of accessory packs, which feature strainer bowls, drainer baskets and chopping boards.
